The Amro Soliman School of Psychotherapy

Rigorous science,
and a person never reduced to symptoms.

Modern psychiatry cannot rest on philosophy alone, nor on cold data alone. This school of practice holds both: it treats the disorder as an organic condition with biological roots, and treats the person as a story, a set of relationships, and a role in life.

The Scientific Pillar

Moving away from the clinician’s subjective impression toward what can be measured: cognitive behavioural science, neurobehavioural science, and standardized diagnostic instruments.

  • Mental illness is an organic condition — not “madness”, not weakness
  • Diagnosis aligned with ICD-11 and DSM-5
  • Internationally validated assessment tools (MMPI, SCID, Benton)
  • Treatment grounded in evidence, not self-experience

The Humanistic Pillar

In psychotherapy the word is not casual conversation; it is a medical intervention. The physician is an interpreter of pain before being a prescriber of medication.

  • Removing stigma and restoring dignity to the patient
  • Psychological pain surfaces in the body — the brain–body link is part of treatment
  • Management plans tailored to the individual, never one-size-fits-all
  • The goal: returning the person to their life as a parent, spouse or child — not merely removing a symptom

02

Lifespan Experience

03

Personality Traits

The pre-morbid personality state, and its effect on the course of treatment and recovery.
